What is CEC accreditation?

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) is Australia's peak body for the clean energy sector. Only CEC-accredited installers are eligible to install solar systems under government rebate schemes (STC point-of-sale discounts). All installers on MrSolar hold current CEC accreditation.

What solar rebates are available in Australia?

Most Australian homes qualify for the federal Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) point-of-sale discount, but the dollar value depends on system size, postcode zone and STC market price. Using MrSolar's master STC table (spot price $39.85 as of 5 August 2026), the typical 5–10kW residential range is about $917–$2,550, while a typical 6.6kW system is about $1,235–$1,674. State-specific rebates include VIC's Solar Homes Program (up to $1,400), SA's Home Battery Scheme, QLD's Battery Booster ($3,000–$4,000), and the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program which has been available since 1 July 2025.
